System configuration. We're going to discuss a little bit about view and system configuration. Now when we're under our live view, if you select any camera, it's going to tell you the stream that we're viewing from that camera and anytime you may have three streams available from each camera main, which is the record quality or the highest quality available from the camera. Substream, which is roughly half the quality and third stream, which is a third. The quality view station, we'll go to the easiest to stream feed first. So you may be looking at third stream when you initially connect the program. This is going to be kind of a grainy image. Now at any time, if you right click, go to stream type and select main, it's going to allow you to switch over and get the mainstream something of note as if you're doing 32 cameras at mainstream.
This can struggle a little bit, which is why it'll bump it down to the easiest to stream version. So say we want to stream substream instead of third stream every time and not have to right click and go to each camera and switch it to main or sub. Well, there's some options under system configuration we're going to cover. So we're just going to hit stop on this video feed. We're going to go to control panel. Then we're going to go over to our system configuration option. Now this is going to give us our global view station settings. So we've got a lot of stuff in here. The one we're going to be looking at first is video. So we get play mode, balanced minimum delay in fluent. We're just going to leave that on balanced stream type. Adapt to screen layout. This is the default setting.
Say we want to tell it to go to Substream every single time we open the program. We're going to select use default stream type and go to sub playback mode. You also get an HD and an SD quality. I also like to enable play mainstream and maximize live view window and then apply save successfully. Now if we're going to go back to live view and play again, now we're going to be viewing everything in substream. You're still able to change any camera at any time to the other stream available, but now it's by default going to Substream for all of our cameras. Double clicking, we'll take you to the mainstream and full screen at the same time. So you notice that we've switched over to our 4K version. Another thing we're going to do under system configuration is change our export area. So let's go to recording next. Now we get a couple of options in here. It's going to save it to our SCW View station folder by default. If we want to change that location, we absolutely can. So it's going to be a little bit buried in our system folder. Say we want to put it in a more convenient spot, I like to create a new folder. Call it export, and use that for any exported footage. Another thing we're going to
Want to do is change this downloaded recording format. It's going to be in TSS by default, which is a DVD burnable format. We're going to change this to MP four. It's just going to make it a little easier to view it on our computer. Once we've exported, we also get some options to export a configuration from V Station. So if we've set all this up already and we want to take it to another computer, all we need to do is install view station and import the configuration, and we'll get a duplicate of exactly what we've done here with all system settings. Also, get a snapshot option up here. This is going to be where it's putting this on your computer. Same idea as before. It's going to be putting it in our SEW view station folder, unless you'd like to specify our export folder as well. Also get a file type JPEG or bitmap.
