Multiple repeaters can be used on an installation however repeaters can not repeat each other, repeaters talk to the Shield Hub. For example a large facility could have sensors then a repeater back to the Shield hub on the left side of the building and then the same setup on the right side of the building. You can not however go Sensors - Repeater - Repeater - Hub.
