What it does:
The delivery vehicle detection model determines if a vehicle is a UPS, USPS, Fedex, Amazon delivery vehicle or not a delivery vehicle.
Allows you to create alerts based on the presence of a UPS, USPS, Fedex or Amazon delivery vehicle and filter event feeds of vehicles based on them.
Best Practices:
Prerequisite:
Requires vehicle detection and its camera placement requirements. Only runs when a vehicle has been detected.
Limitations:
The logo does not have to be visible to classify the delivery vehicle's service, as this model mostly looks for shape and color scheme. This does mean that large purple vans are likely to be classified as "Amazon" even if not actually an Amazon delivery vans. Additionally, Amazon has outsourced some deliveries to nondescript white vans in addition to their normal purple ones. They often do not have a logo easily visible and sometimes do not have branding on them at all. This classification model will not find these brand-free vans (example shown to the right). The model will not recognize the amazon boxes and reinterpret the van results in the way that a human would.
