Creating an Alert in Survail
Survail allows you to create alerts based on whether a person or vehicle is in a video feed.
Log In To Survail
You can log into Survail at https://app.survail.com/.
Click "Modules"
In the top menu, click on "Modules." This will lead you to the "Alert" page within the Modules submenu.
Click "Add Alert"
This will lead you to the Add Alert page.
Give Your Alert a Name
While on the "Add Alert" page, the first field is for your alert name. This will be the main way you tell alerts apart, so, give your Alert a memorable name that helps describe how or by whom this alert is being used.
Choose What Causes the Alert
The second section determine the condition(s) for which you want to be notified. You can choose people and/or vehicles.
Click the "Add Recipients" Button
This will open a modal that allows you to choose who gets notified and how they want to be notified for this alert.
Pick Who You Want to Get the Alert
The name field will allow you to choose people or groups that you want to receive the alerts. If you begin typing, it will filter the results to those users that match what you have started typing. You can only send alerts to users who have an account.
Pick your Alert Type
Text message alerts will send you a text of what was detected and where. Email alerts will send you the login url and an image of what was detected. Video alerts will send you a "share ready" no-login-required url of the video, but do not allow you to manage your system or access your account.
Decide if You Also Want a Custom Message
The alert will always send the info about the camera name, what was detected, and when, but if you want you can also put in a custom message. This custom message says "Make sure you perform a walkthrough of the area and then complete an incident report."
Pick the Time of Day When the Alert Should be Active
Choose the start and end time for when you want your alerts to be active.
Pick the Days of Week
Choose the days of the week for when you want your alerts to be active. You can select multiple days.
